I study how people interact with computing that is worn, ambient or immersive, and how such technology can compensate for sensory and motor impairments. My work combines user studies with the engineering of software architectures, wearable prototypes and extended reality applications. I carry it out in the Machine Intelligence and Information Visualization Lab (MintViz), I lead the Cloud-USV Center, which provides computational resources for research across the university, and I supervise PhD students in Computers and Information Technology.
